Dialpad’s Product Engineering organization is responsible for building and maintaining the customer-facing features at scale across all of our cloud native products and services. Every day, millions of users across the world leverage our technology to communicate effectively and efficiently.
Dialpad Meetings team builds end-to-end conferencing solutions and provides an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and truly a world-class communication & collaboration product. Your role
Dialpad is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join the growing team on a mission to build compelling/differentiating capabilities on UCaaS and CCaaS. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong desire to deliver a high-quality, high-performance, scalable, backend using modern technologies, willing to make an impact while contributing to a cross-functional team.
This is a high-impact role directly representing significant contributions to Dialpad’s revenues and is of particular strategic importance.
What you’ll do
- Write clear and complete Tech Spec documents that other team members easily understand.
- Provide estimates on technical resources and requirements necessary to plan and begin development.
- Develop well-tested features with appropriate test hooks resulting in low defect reports and faster engineering throughput.
- Review technical designs to ensure features/products fully meet business needs.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and other team activities to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Perform unit and end-to-end testing.
- Ensure that features are shipped on-time and with the highest quality.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues with existing features, as needed.
- Mentor engineers and help them grow their skills, expertise, and technical responsibilities.
- Drive innovation and productivity initiatives within or across the product team.
Skills you’ll bring
- 8+ years of experience in backend software engineering.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent in experience.
- Experience working with Python, Javascript, HTML, CSS, RestFul APIs, web application frameworks is preferred.
- Strong experience working with Microservices, and Serverless Architectures.
- Strong experience working with Containerization and Orchestration, in the Cloud [Google Cloud Platform is a plus].
- Working knowledge of unit test and integration test frameworks.
- Experience with performance and optimization problems and a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent them.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with highly agile and iterative development processes.
This position reports to Manager who is based in India and the role will be based in our Bengaluru, India Office. The position will require a hybrid working arrangement based out of our Bengaluru office
