Job Description
About the Role:
We are looking for a creative and seasoned Senior Software Engineer (Salesforce) to oversee the planning, creation, and deployment of force.com cloud-based apps, including Experience Cloud.
A thorough grasp of the Salesforce platform and its governor restrictions, as well as practical expertise developing scalable structures, are prerequisites for this position. Building and improving business applications, establishing best practices, and working with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality software solutions are all part of your responsibilities as a vital member of our development team.
This role requires that you work onsite at our office in Palo Alto, CA in accordance with our hybrid policy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development of new and enhancements to existing SFDC Platform and Force.com cloud-based applications, including systems analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance
- Develop and customize Salesforce solutions, including Salesforce Lightning components, Apex code, and Visualforce pages, Javascript to meet specific business requirements.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including business analysts and product managers, to gather and analyze requirements for Salesforce projects.
- Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and quality assurance to ensure the successful implementation of Salesforce solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce platform updates, features, and best practices, applying this knowledge to enhance development processes.
- Optimize Salesforce solutions for maximum performance, security, and scalability, following Salesforce coding standards.
- Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality and maintain development standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Salesforce functionality and integration issues, ensuring a seamless user experience and efficient system operation
- Enhancements and Maintenance of Salesforce communities
- Full development life cycle - admin, configure, develop including object/field customization, deploy/test in sandbox, deploy/verify in production
- Configuration of highly customized security profiles & roles, Sharing Settings, Roles, Public Groups, User Administration
- Take ownership of release cycles to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code
- Data loading and data extraction using data loader, reports etc
- Create and adhere to procedures and standards to guarantee the effective operational assistance needed to guarantee timely and accurate daily reporting so that stakeholders may make decisions about day-to-day operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Salesforce declarative & code development, and architecture
- Knowledge of Salesforce data models, security, and performance tuning
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II
- Salesforce Certified Architect (Application, System) Preferred
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
- Proven track record of putting the customer first (patient first attitude) and a passion for delivering outstanding solutions leveraging all aspects of the Salesforce platform
Additional Information
Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. At Guardant, our work model has created flexibility for better work-life balance while keeping teams connected to advance our science for our patients.
For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $144,600 to $195,210. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.
Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
