Senior Software Engineer I

About the Role:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be a key part of our Agile development squad. You will work on a number of applications that are key to sharing scientific knowledge and ensuring it quality. You will mentor junior team members, share your knowledge, and deliver solutions using your technical expertise.

Responsibilities:

Understanding business needs and goals and implement software to achieve those goals

Working closely with other development team members to ensure smooth integration

Contribute to on-going improvements in Software Engineering practices

Completing complex bug fixes and resolving technical issues

Training entry-level software engineers, and mentoring junior engineers, ensuring they are knowledgeable in critical aspects of their roles
Requirements:
-
High skill level in one of the following languages: Java, Go, or JavaScript.
-
Experience in or willing to learn frontend development, particularly React.
-
Familiar with Agile development practices.

Be able to partner and collaborate across teams to deliver innovative solutions and results to our customers.

Experience of test-driven development.
