Senior Software Engineer, AI Applications

What you can expect

As a Full-Stack Software Developer, you'll design and implement essential web-based and AI-powered applications for Zoom. You will collaborate closely with teams from AI, Meeting, Phone, Big data, Data Engineering, and Cloud to build business features of Zoom products. The ideal candidate will majorly focus on backend development and with strong knowledge of interaction with the frontend.

About the Team

We are the AI/ML application engineering team dedicated to building cutting-edge products and providing business platforms and tools. We provide for enterprise customers in sales, contact center, training, management and other fields. Our products have extensive developments based on AI/ML features, LLM, GenAI, ASR, and image processing, etc. These products are highly user-facing, friendly and robust web based applications. The team has the hybrid work style that is either remote or in person. The team members are mainly located in the US. There are wide team collaborations across US and Asia.

Responsibilities

• Working with cross-functional teams to define, design, implement and ship new features and innovative applications.

• Ensuring reliability and high quality by participating in code reviews, testing, and debugging.

• Implementing AI solutions solves complex problems.

• Integrate AI services and algorithms.

• Work on backend services and databases, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests.

• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and improve product quality.

• Documenting code, algorithms, and technical processes for internal and external reference.

What we’re looking for

• 8+ years of experience of hands-on skills in backend development, web technologies, cloud platforms, and data pipeline management.

• Demonstrate working knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and scalable systems.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, C++, etc. Experience with AI/ML applications, integrations and prompt engineering. Familiarity with cloud services, database management, and web technologies. Experience of developing and managing high-traffic web applications Experience with RDBMS, such as MySQL, NoSQL.

• Knowledgeable of CRM or ERP Experience of designing APIs, database schemas, and micro-services to power a sophisticated user-facing product.

• Experience with test driven development. Knowledgeable of frontend development.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach complex issues and drive projects to completion, high quality delivery.

• Excellent communication, collaboration abilities, and leadership.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$87 600,00

Maximum:

$186 000,00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
