We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Director of Quality and Yield Management and based in Fremont, California. This is a fully on-site, in office role.

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be a part of the team responsible for setting and managing the quality standards for our fuel cell manufacturing. You will work closely with process engineer, manufacturing yield engineer, supply quality engineer, stack and column manufacturing, equipment engineer, and stack engineering. We are looking for a Quality Professional with a track record of improving manufacturing quality through the entire life cycle of products. We are looking for someone who has hands-on experience and enjoy supporting 24x7 manufacturing, and has extensive involvement in the tools and techniques used to assess product quality and manufacturing process.

Role and Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for supporting 24x7 manufacturing for several process steps.
  • Driving process improvement using six sigma methodology and quality tools
  • Lead cross-functional project teams through problem solving and process improvement programs to continuously improve product quality and manufacturing process capability
  • Develop best practices, templates, and dashboards to help promote a culture of continuous improvement

Required: 

  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong critical thinking/analytical skills with ability to solve complex problems using FMEA, DMAIC, 5 Why’s, 8D
  • Solid practical experience with Statistical Process Control
  • Ability to interface effectively across departments and build strong and cooperative working relationships
  • Strong verbal, active listening, written communication skills
  • Demonstrate planning and leadership skills, as well as attention to detail
  • Educational Requirements – engineering major with BS or MS from an accredited college
  • ISO experience is a plus
