The Business Technology team at BigCommerce is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager with a strong background in Scrum Master responsibilities and project management to support our Salesforce development teams.

This role will be responsible for driving Agile delivery, facilitating effective Scrum ceremonies, and ensuring the successful execution of high-impact Salesforce initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with cross-functional technical teams, a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, and a proven ability to manage complex projects from initiation to completion.

This position reports directly to the Director of Business Applications.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as a Scrum Master for Salesforce development teams, coaching teams on Agile methodologies and facilitating Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives)
  • Lead multiple Salesforce development projects from initiation through execution, ensuring timely delivery while managing scope, risks, and dependencies
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Business Stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to align on priorities and remove roadblocks
  • Optimize team performance, fostering a high-performing Agile culture that delivers high-quality Salesforce solutions
  • Track and communicate project progress, ensuring transparency on milestones, blockers, and deliverables through tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Smartsheet
  • Proactively manage risks and dependencies, ensuring seamless Salesforce releases across teams
  • Drive process improvements, promoting Agile best practices and helping the organization scale its Agile maturity
  • Generate reports and provide cross-functional visibility into status, resourcing needs, dependencies, granular requirements, dates and escalations for projects
  • Contribute to our company culture and collective intelligence

Who Are You

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager or Scrum Master for software development teams, with a strong focus on Salesforce projects.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certifications preferred
  • Deep expertise in Agile methodologies, with hands-on experience coaching teams in Scrum frameworks
  • Experience working with Salesforce development teams, understanding the software development lifecycle (SDLC) in an Agile environment
  • Proficiency in project management tools, including JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, Google Apps, and similar platforms
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to facilitate discussions, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive clarity across teams
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, balancing speed, quality, and business impact
  • Must demonstrate direct experience using Agile methodologies for managing projects and coaching teams
  • Hands-on Salesforce experience, either as a Project Manager, Scrum Master, or working closely with Salesforce development teams
  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced, evolving environment, managing shifting priorities while keeping teams aligned
  • A strong people-first mindset, fostering collaboration and driving team engagement
  • Experience implementing Agile at scale, with knowledge of frameworks like SAFe a plus
  • Motivated. You understand the impact of a highly satisfied, excited crew; you are slightly obsessive about grinding away at issues
  • Scrappiness. You have an innate, scrappy and entrepreneurial drive to get things done in a fast-moving environment where things can (and do!) change quickly, priorities compete, and you may not always have all of the details upfront. Nothing gets by you
  • Pragmatic. You understand the awesomeness and downfalls of Agile, waterfall, and other philosophies & methodologies - and know what to apply for each situation

(Pay Transparency Range: $96,000.00 - $161,000.00)

The exact salary will be dependent on the successful candidate’s location, relevant knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
