The Senior Project Manager has accountability to partner with an operational sponsor/leader(s) to assemble and manage the project team responsible to plan, organize, oversee activities needed to achieve the project objectives, and recommend and secure resources required for successful project completion. The projects managed are complex in nature.

The ideal candidate will have technical experience with construction projects, an understanding of network, technology equipment, and hardware. They should be able to assess on-site technology needs for new hospitals/clinics, mergers/acquisitions, and remodels. The ability to work with 3rd party vendors and understand how all devices in a clinic space connect and rely on network connection and interdependency is essential. 

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate with the Program Manager on projects designated as part of a program (group of related projects). Projects under the oversight of the Senior Project Manager are typically at the region or function level.
  • Oversee all aspects of Project Life Cycle.
  • Proficiently manage 3 to 5 unique projects and assist other project managers in challenging situations while serving as mentor to others within and across teams. Ability to assign projects based on skills and experience of PM team.
  • Rigorously manage scope, budget, schedule, and risks including development of solid mitigation strategies that can be executed quickly to avoid project delays.
  • Develop communication plans and provide transparency to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Validate financial forecasts and expected benefits to track actual value to expected results, reconciling resources and other project expenses.
  • Ensure the project team adheres to designated governance, standards and processes that include a structured approach applying expert knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to meet project objectives.
  • Apply specific technical specialty skills and requirements necessary to successfully plan and deliver projects in areas such as information technology, construction management, etc.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated project management experience overseeing 3 or more simultaneous, complex projects is required (eg. Hospital Replacement, MOB/Clinic build, etc.).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including non-supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Expert Level Certified Program or Project Management designation is preferred.  Qualifying certifications include PMI-PMP, PMI-PgMP, PMI-PfMP, AHA-CHC, IAPM-CSPM, IAPM-CSAPM, AAPM-Master Project Manager, GAQM-Certified Project Director.
  • Lean process certification or demonstrated equivalent skill is preferred.
  • 5 + years proven leadership experience including non-supervisory roles is preferred.
  • Merger and Acquisition integration project management experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a field such as business administration, information technology, construction management, or healthcare is preferred. Will consider experience over education.
  • Prior experience working in an integrated healthcare delivery organization is preferred.

  • Ongoing need for the employee to see and read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
  • Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients, and visitors that require the employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
  • For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

$48.89 - $76.95
