The main purpose of the Senior Project Manager role is to oversee and lead projects within the logistics department. This role is integral in ensuring the efficient and effective execution of logistics projects that align with ROCKWOOL's strategic goals. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key responsibilities and activities include, but is not limited to:
- Leading and managing logistics projects in alignment with ROCKWOOL’s values and strategies.
- Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Developing full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
- Effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Estimating resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Drafting and submitting budget proposals and recommending subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- Setting and continually managing project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path.
- Planning and scheduling project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Tracking project milestones and deliverables.
- Developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Proactively managing changes in project scope, identifying potential crises, and devising contingency plans.
- Building, developing, and growing any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
- Conducting project post mortems and creating recommendations reports in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Communication & Working Relationships:
- Reporting directly to the Logistics Director.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams and other departments within ROCKWOOL.
- Establishing necessary cross-functional working relationships within the ROCKWOOL Group.
