Job Title: Senior Project Engineer (HV Breakers)
The opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy as a Senior Project Engineer (HV Breakers) and lead the design and implementation of engineering projects focused on high voltage switchgear. This role offers a unique chance to work independently, manage complex projects, and coach lower-level professionals. You'll be responsible for preparing designs, modifying customer-specific solutions, and ensuring the successful execution of customer orders. How you'll make an impact
- Act as a technical leader for customer orders and responsible countries.
- Generate BOM in ERP for customer orders, working closely with team members.
- Understand and interpret circuit diagrams and schematics.
- Review and understand mechanical designs and drawings in 3D design tools like Creo.
- Collaborate with design and secondary engineers to review 2D and 3D drawings.
- Review customer specifications at the order design stage.
- Support production teams with technical queries.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements.
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 6-8 years of experience with high voltage switchgear (66kV and above).
- Knowledge of relevant international standards (e.g., IEEE, ANSI, IEC).
- Proficiency in ERP software is an added advantage.
- Understanding of manufacturing drawings and electrical schematics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
