Job Title: Senior Program Manager
 

Job Summary:

The Iron Mountain Incubation team is a newly established function of Iron Mountain. Our mission is to drive new vectors for growth to future proof our organization. While working at an accelerated pace, we are tasked with quickly figuring out what next product or business capabilities are viable for our company and customers. We closely collaborate with the industry for qualification, prototyping, and productization. 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead and manage complex programs that align with the company’s strategic objectives. The Senior Program Manager will play a critical role in coordinating multiple cross-functional teams, ensuring project delivery on time, within scope, and on budget. This individual will work closely with senior leadership to define program goals, lead execution, and handle any obstacles that arise during program life cycles. The ideal candidate is an expert in program management, problem-solving, and leadership, with the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment and drive projects to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership:

    • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale programs, ensuring alignment with business goals.

    • Oversee the development of detailed project plans, including schedules, resources, budget management, and risk mitigation strategies.

    • Provide direction and guidance to project managers, team members, and stakeholders across cross-functional teams.

    • Ensure that programs stay within scope, schedule, and budget, identifying and addressing risks and issues as they arise.

  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Collaborate with senior leaders and key stakeholders to define program objectives, scope, and timelines.

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for executive stakeholders, communicating program progress, risks, and achievements.

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and clients to ensure effective collaboration and alignment.

  • Risk and Issue Management:

    • Identify potential risks to program success, and work proactively with teams to develop and implement mitigation strategies.

    • Resolve issues and roadblocks that could impact project timelines, ensuring program milestones are met.

  • Continuous Improvement:

    • Drive process improvements, establishing best practices for program and project management within the organization.

    • Evaluate program performance and provide recommendations for future programs to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Team Leadership & Development:

    • Mentor and develop junior program managers and project team members.

    • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture that aligns with company values and goals.

    • Promote professional growth and development within the team, ensuring continued learning and skill advancement.

  • Reporting & Documentation:

    • Provide regular program status reports to stakeholders, including updates on key milestones, risks, and achievements.

    • Ensure proper documentation and tracking of program details, including scope, timelines, and financials.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or similar field

  • 7+ years of program management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, etc.).

  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex programs on time and within budget.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • PMP, PgMP, or similar project/program management certification is highly desirable.

  • Experience with program management tools (e.g., JIRA, etc.).

  • Strong financial acumen is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with technical program management and new product development.

  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.

  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial management for large-scale programs.

Travel Requirements : 20% - 25% of the time including global travels.

Reasonably expected salary range: $138,500.00 - $184,700.00
