Senior Program Manager

The Senior Program Manager will be instrumental in defining, documenting, and executing programs of extreme high risk, complexity, and visibility. This role will focus on overseeing multiple interconnected projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, and driving successful outcomes.
About the Role
In this opportunity as Senior Program Manager, you will:

Define and document program scope, objectives, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

Develop and implement comprehensive program plans, including risk assessments, feasibility studies, and statements of work.

Produce and maintain program documentation, including detailed project plans, work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports.

Determine appropriate program methodologies and agree on scope and constraints to estimate costs, timescales, and resource requirements.

Identify, assess, and manage risks to ensure program success, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

Ensure program deliverables are demonstrably fit for purpose and align with organizational goals.

Manage change control procedures, gaining agreement for revisions from stakeholders and ensuring the full impact of significant changes is understood.

Monitor program performance, implementing corrective actions when costs, timescales, or resources deviate from agreed tolerances.

Act as a communication liaison, ensuring all parties are aware of program scope, milestones, and progress.

Highlight and address any divergence from program scope, adjusting as necessary to reflect changing circumstances.
About You
You're a fit for the role of Senior Program Manager if your background includes:

7+ years of experience in program management, preferably with high-risk and complex initiatives.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; master’s degree or PMP certification preferred.

Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, multi-faceted programs.

Strong knowledge of program and project management methodologies and best practices.

Excellent risk assessment, management, and mitigation skills.

Experience in developing business cases and strategic planning for significant organizational initiatives.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.

Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $99,400 - $184,600.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
