About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Program Manager to oversee the delivery of the most strategic and highly complex technology related projects and programs across the Enterprise. This role will be part of the Driscoll’s IS Project Management Office (PMO) and will have Project Manager reports. The IS Program Manager is a strategic partner for the Business delivering long-term business objectives through key transformational IS programs and projects and Enterprise Business Applications.
The IS Program Manager will bring your expertise, program and project management knowledge, and strong leadership skills to drive and oversee the successful execution of programs and projects on time and within budget. Additionally, the IS Program Manager will lead and mentor cross functional teams from the Business, IS and vendors to understand, follow and improve upon our project processes and frameworks.
Responsibilities
• Effectively direct, manage and control the most strategic, extra-large technical projects or programs aligning project plans and activities with relevant workgroups to ensure successful project completion on time and within budget constraints.
• Provide consistent, accurate and comprehensive project and program updates in a compelling manner. Customize these updates to specific audiences from project team members to project leaders to Executive Steering Committees.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate project and program progress, risks, and resource requirements; adjusting and mitigating issues as needed to ensure successful project and program outcomes. Escalate risks and issues as necessary.
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with business partners, external vendors and internal IS teams.
• Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders in a transparent manner, seeking consensus where possible and negotiating through adversity when needed.
• Manage project and program budgets and financials, ensuring adherence to financial constraints and resource allocation, while closely monitoring key financial performance indicators to make informed decisions and achieve project success.
• Directly manage Project Managers within assigned Programs and within the IS PMO. Provide direct oversight to projects managed by Project Manager reports. • Participate in, document, and drive continual process improvements for the IS PMO team, PMO processes and IS Project Lifecycle employing best practices in a hybrid Waterfall and Agile environment.
• Guide and direct project managers and stakeholders on project management tools and processes. Ensure adherence to the tools and processes defined within the PMO.
• Work independently. Collaborate directly with the IS Leadership team and Program Leadership teams to drive results and engagement.
• Interpret internal and external business challenges and provide recommendations to improve products, processes, or services across the IS Organization, utilizing your expertise and best judgement.
• Exhibit a desire for continuous learning and adaptability within a highly dynamic and growing organization.
Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree highly regarded.
• Minimum 5 years with a proven track record of successfully delivering the most complex projects on time and within budget in the project management role.
• Minimum of 15 years progressive experience in technical project management, preferably in a PMO (Project Management Office) environment.
• Effective leadership skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience in communication and collaboration with the Senior Management of an organization.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts and influence others.
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects driving execution through others.
• Highly skilled in financial analysis to interpret and communicate project calculations like Total
• Experience with vendor management and vendor selection (Requests for Proposals).
• Experience with large meeting agenda planning and excellent facilitation skills highly regarded.
• Working knowledge of modern ERP systems (Oracle is preferred). Strong functional and technical knowledge of SaaS based solutions.
• Proficiency in Spanish is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), Jira and Smartsheet highly regarded.
• Experience with organizational change management concepts and process documentation highly regarded.
• Experience with technology projects within Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Consumer Goods and/or Fresh Produce industry highly regarded. Experience with managing team(s).
• Demonstrated initiative to stay current on technology advancements.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
