The Team

The Price Optimisation D2C team is part of a new cross-functional department composed of data scientists, data engineers, SAP integration experts, developers and business users within the PVH D2C organization.

The team is empowered to deliver the consumer-facing promotional price offer using an agile development process.
 

The Position
As the new Senior Product Owner – Price Optimisation D2C you will bring together a cross-functional team of experts in Data Science, Technology, D2C channels in order to design, deploy and refine Pricing Optimization products for PVH. You will prioritise their tasks and improve collaboration with the goal of maximizing financial KPIs and improving internal processes related to price trading during promotional events and in-season trading.

You will also be responsible for delivering quality on the Price Optimisation products, which include machine learning-driven pricing models, technology integrations between systems and user interfaces to input and report on the data.

In this position you will initially be the sole Senior Product Owner, however we expect you to build your own team and grow into a strategy lead for pricing within PVH 2DC.

You will work across both Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein brands and report into the Ecommerce Director of Planning, Pricing and Partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive delivery with data science and front-end developer teams within an agile framework, while always keeping the needs of business users and stakeholders in mind.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams during the entire lifecycle of product development - pre-impact analysis, deployment and post-deployment activities.
  • Collaborate with data science in order to drive innovation and optimisation, integrating internal and external signals to improve the effectiveness and use cases for the algorithms.
  • Communication at all levels is key: change management for business users by conveying complex topics into easy-to-understand messages; present to and secure approval from senior management and other key stakeholders.
  • Channel communication from key business stakeholders in HQ and country into the team, to guarantee strategic alignment and manage expectations.
  • Coordinate product evolution to optimise the pricing strategy according to the desired financial KPIs for a season, not only sales, but also margin and operating profit for example.
  • Drive process improvement of promotional pricing practices within the D2C channels, using best in class examples and user feedback.
  • Build, grow and manage the price optimization business team.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • You are a Senior Product Owner with leadership ambitions and a solid understanding of the retail or fashion industry.
  • You bring proven product management experience delivering against multiple KPIs and working with cross-functional teams.
  • You understand the retail cycle and use of promotional pricing as a trading lever.
  • You are commercially minded and customer oriented to serve multiple D2C channel stakeholders.
  • You bring an excellent ability to understand, analyze and clearly communicate business needs and priorities to technical teams such as data scientists and developers.
  • You are skilled in reporting and providing actionable insights to senior management.
  • You love to stay informed on research, data and industry trends to evolve the product.
  • You bring solid interpersonal skills and thrive working in a multicultural, complex organization.
  • Plus factors:
    • Experience in data science or machine learning.
    • Experience in the fashion industry.
    • Previous use of dynamic pricing products.
