Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a data focus such as Data Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, Statistics or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in Product Management with expertise in developing data warehouses, reporting and dashboard solutions.
- Exposure to and basic understanding of modern data management principles, practices and technology stacks: including but not limited to data modeling, schema design (star vs. snowflake), data warehousing and cloud-based analytics (knowledge of AWS services preferred).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools; we use Apache Superset, but transferable knowledge from similar tools like Power BI or Tableau is just as valuable.
- Working knowledge of SQL. Bonus points for knowledge of a pipeline scripting language like Python / dbt.
- Experience working with agile development methodologies. Bonus points if you are Scrum certified (e.g. CSM, CSPO).
Responsibilities
- Craft a compelling vision for our data architecture and business intelligence, aligning with organizational goals and the unique needs of commercial stakeholders and operational/technology teams.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy, prioritizing features that unlock revenue trends and system health insights.
- Dashboard Design and Development:
- Lead the end-to-end development of dashboards from data source to wireframing, ensuring they are tailored to meet the specific requirements of commercial, product and operational/technology users.
- Advocate for and work with data engineers to advance data management principles within the business, to maintain the integrity of the foundational data behind reporting.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate closely with commercial stakeholders to understand revenue-related data needs, ensuring dashboards provide actionable insights into key business trends.
- Engage with operational and technology teams to comprehend system health metrics and design dashboards that facilitate effective monitoring.
