SailPoint, the industry leader in Identity Security software, is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Data Security Product Team to drive our governance solution for Structured, Semi-Structured and Unstructured Data Sources.

The Senior Product Manager is a strategic position responsible for the success of SailPoint products in the marketplace.  The position requires strong product management and leadership skills that balance market needs with SailPoint strategy, and top communication skills both internally and externally. Additionally, a technical understanding of enterprise data environments and rapidly evolving security and compliance technologies is critical.We’re looking for a savvy Senior Product Manager to join our core product team to drive the vision of SailPoint’s Data Security and Governance platform, and help design, execute and deliver it to market.  The Senior Product Manager must be comfortable working closely with customers to evangelize the product vision and roadmap, work with engineering and services to optimize roadmap execution with successful service delivery and with marketing and sales to achieve customer growth, and actively participate in go-to-market activities. Consistent communication with prospects, customers and partners is expected to have a continuous feedback loop into the backlog and vision.

Responsibilities

  • Drive product vision, strategy, activities and advancement, including cross-product capabilities, through independent and collaborative customer research, deployment success, competitive positioning and market analysis
  • Identify opportunities for new product offerings based on both latent and expressed customer needs or industry trends
  • Work closely with engineering and user experience to define the business problem to be solved and collaborate on the solution delivered in the software
  • Work with other internal stakeholders to understand their suggestions for advancing the product
  • Collaborate with other product teams to define business problems and possible solutions
  • Help develop, prioritize and manage the product roadmap in a lean / agile environment
  • Evangelize the SailPoint strategy at external events and on customer calls, understand customer goals and objectives plans, and discuss how those fit into the SailPoint strategy
  • Support go-to-market activities with marketing, sales, sales engineers, and support
  • Performs competitive and industry research in order to understand and identify trends.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience in a product management role
  • Previous experience leading SaaS products– Must
  • Experience with Data Security, Governance and Privacy is required.
  • BA/BS in business or technical field or MBA are a plus, preferred, not required
  • Ability for self-learning, working autonomously, and adapt to dynamic business priorities
  • Passion for identifying market needs and clarifying customer problems
  • Demonstrated success in working with engineering teams to plan, develop, refine, and launch successful security software products
  • Experience prioritizing projects, building backlogs, and defining product roadmaps
  • Experience collaborating with product marketing and corporate marketing to deliver content, drive thought-leadership and demand-gen programs
  • Experience presenting product roadmaps and vision
  • Experience delivering support to field and channel sales organizations
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills
  • This position requires approximately 20% travel
