About the role

As a senior product designer at STARK, you will play a key role in designing user-centred products that address the needs of our customers and business. Reporting directly to and working closely with the Product Design Lead, you will collaborate with an established product design team dedicated to delivering impactful solutions across STARK's digital landscape. You will work out of Viby, Aarhus. For this role, you can expect to travel 12–15 days per year.

You will take ownership of projects, balancing creativity with attention to detail while maintaining high design standards. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will focus on developing intuitive solutions that align with business objectives and user needs. Key responsibilities and skills.

Design and delivery:
• Lead and produce UI designs, guided by a strong understanding of UX principles.
• Maintain and contribute to the STARK design system to support consistency and scalability.
• Create detailed wireframes, prototypes, and high-quality visuals for a variety of products.
• Improve user journeys by addressing preferences and challenges, ensuring solutions are functional and engaging.
• Manage and prioritise multiple projects, responding to changing business needs.
• Participate in agile workflows, including sprint planning, working iteratively to meet objectives and deadlines.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into user-centred design solutions.
• Analyse user and business needs to inform design decisions that balance technical feasibility, customer value, and commercial goals.

Collaboration and teamwork:
• Work as part of an experienced product design team, sharing insights and collaborating to create cohesive, user-focused solutions.
• Lead and participate in workshops with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather insights that shape and refine design solutions.
• Work closely with local and remote development teams to ensure design concepts are implemented effectively and consistently.
• Use asynchronous collaboration methods to stay aligned and maintain progress with distributed teams.
• Guide and support junior designers by sharing expertise, providing constructive feedback, and fostering their professional growth.
• Communicate fluently in both Danish and English to build strong relationships and contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture.

Tools and practices:
• Use tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud to create prototypes and design systems.
• Apply knowledge of interaction design to produce intuitive and accessible interfaces.
• Work collaboratively with developers to align design solutions with technical requirements.

What you will need:
• Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in a senior capacity.
• A portfolio demonstrating your contributions to digital products, focusing on UI and UX design, is essential.
• Familiarity with front-end and back-end processes to support your design decisions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Danish and English.
• Ability to manage projects independently, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.
• Experience working with multicultural teams and products in multiple languages.
