What you´ll do:

  • Product Compliance Management
  • Ensure all products meet international compliance standards and regulations (e.g., safety, environmental, and quality).
  • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures across all product lines.
  • Monitor and evaluate changes in regulations to proactively adapt company policies.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Operations and Marketing teams to integrate compliance requirements into the product development.
  • Act as the main point of contact for compliance-related inquiries and facilitate training for internal teams on compliance matters.

  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments for new products, identifying potential compliance issues and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Establish and maintain a compliance risk management framework to support product lifecycle management.

  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of compliance activities, product testing, and certifications.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

  • Supplier and Partner Management
  • Evaluate and monitor supplier compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Work with external testing laboratories and regulatory agencies to ensure product compliance.

  • Continuous Improvement
  • Identify areas for improvement within the compliance processes and recommend solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in product compliance.

Who we´re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Regulatory Affairs); Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product compliance management, preferably in the consumer goods or mattress industry.
  • Strong knowledge of international compliance standards, regulations, and certification processes, including:
  • European Deforestation Regulation: Understanding requirements for sourcing materials sustainably to prevent deforestation.
  • German Supply Chain Act (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz): Familiarity with the obligations related to human rights and environmental standards in supply chains.
  • EU Eco-Design for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR): Knowledge of product sustainability criteria and eco-design principles.
  • Digital Product Passport: Understanding the implementation of digital product passports to enhance transparency and traceability of products across their lifecycle.
  • Experience with product testing and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify compliance issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and excellence.
  • Proactive and able to work independently while managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • A passion for the sleep industry and a commitment to improving customer satisfaction through compliance.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages (especially German) are a plus.
