Job Description
Summary
As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will own strategy development and execution, sourcing, and supplier partnership for the designated portfolio within ANJ. You will also be a key contributor to the global strategies in partnership with the International and Global Procurement Category Leads.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading development and implement local Procurement Category Strategies and supporting the development of global Procurement Category Strategies, where applicable.
- Management and execution of Procurement Category Strategy project pipeline
- Creation of sourcing strategies including internal needs assessment, market assessment, management of sourcing events (RfX), leading negotiations, supplier selection, and contracting/contract approval cycles.
- Build and maintain market intelligence to understand cost drivers, inflation development, market dynamics, and opportunities for innovation or other business benefit
- Work with local and global stakeholders to collate and align mid-and-long-term strategies based on business needs and strategic objectives
- Define and manage annual ESG and productivity projects related to category goods/services in collaboration with Procurement Operations team and functional counterparts
- Lead supplier relationship management (SRM) and supplier development programs in partnership with key stakeholders and strategic suppliers to deliver on strategic agenda and drive competitive advantage for the business
- Measure and manage Procurement category performance to against business needs
About you
- The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role preferably within a manufacturing/ industrial environment,
- Have experience in negotiation, a knowledge of contract development and implementation
- Be proficient with excel and business procurement systems.
- Tertiary qualified
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills will underpin your success in this role.
