Job Description
Summary
This role is responsible for strategically managing the flow of raw materials and components to the production floor, ensuring the right quantity of high-quality materials are available on time to meet production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) process is represented accurately within JDE
- Generate Vendor schedule for all materials to be purchased on site
- Negotiate with Vendor expected delivery timings.
- Purchase Orders generated and maintained accurately.
- Overdue Purchase Order Management.
- Early notification of long term material constraints highlighting potential solutions.
- Notify Planner of shortfalls - ensure a feasible Production Plan is in place
- Key Supplier Reviews
- Undertake continuous improvement opportunities.
- Participate in Site Change Management Process
- Participate in Site NPD Process
- Management of Site Inventory Levels
- Slow and Obsolete stock (SLOB) Management
- Reconcile and authorize payments of supplier invoices in regard to quantity variances.
- Material Planner back up
About you
- Tertiary Education ideally within manufacturing
- Computer literacy to being proficient with Excel and Word
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Previous experience within a manufacturing company is a plus
- Project managing skills
- Great communications skills
- Purchase order experience
