Principal Power Electronics Engineer

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Principal Power Electronics Engineer to drive the development of advanced energy conversion products. With 15+ years of experience, you will leverage your deep expertise in power electronics, control algorithms, and system-level design to lead innovation in high-efficiency, high-performance energy conversion solutions.

Responsibilities:

· Own the architecture design of multiple power converters to production, spanning from a few hundred watts to several Mega watts, collaborating within a team environment.

· Lead the optimization of high-power, high-efficiency power electronics for energy conversion and power management applications, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and thermal management.

· Design and optimize magnetic components.

· Develop and implement complex control strategies and advanced modulation techniques to enhance the efficiency and dynamic response of power conversion systems. Collaborate with firmware engineers to develop and implement control algorithms and system-level diagnostics.

· Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers, embedded software developers, and system architects to ensure seamless integration of power electronics solutions into larger product architectures.

· Drive research on emerging technologies in energy conversion. Explore next-gen solutions to meet future energy demands and regulatory requirements.

· Address challenges at scale to achieve industry-leading reliability, efficiency, and performance.

Qualifications:

· PhD or master’s degree in electrical engineering, power electronics, or a related field.

· 15+ years of experience in power electronics design, particularly in energy conversion.

· Expertise in high-efficiency systems, advanced control strategies, and simulation tools.

· Proven leadership experience and strong problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to drive innovation.

· Passion for sustainable energy solutions, with a desire to drive positive change through innovation.

Salary Applicable to California: $220,000-$245,000
