About the Team:

You will work with customers and internal stakeholders to build data-driven intelligence into Obsidian's product and operations.This is a unique opportunity to build solutions that will exert a tangible and immediate influence on Obsidian's customers, and shape an innovative frontier in the realm of cybersecurity.

Obsidian Security is seeking a skilled Platform Product Manager to drive the development, scalability, and evolution of our underlying platform. This role is pivotal to ensuring our platform remains robust, flexible, and capable of supporting current and future products. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent product management experience, and a passion for solving complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to define the vision and roadmap for the platform.
  • Drive the development and optimization of core platform capabilities, ensuring they meet the needs of internal teams and customers.
  • Identify and prioritize platform enhancements to support scalability, reliability, and performance goals.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define and deliver APIs, tools, and frameworks that enable product teams to innovate efficiently.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure the platform adheres to architectural standards and supports evolving product requirements.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor the platform’s performance, scalability, and impact on the broader product portfolio.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our platform remains competitive and cutting-edge.
  • Contribute to the organization’s overall product strategy and drive alignment between platform capabilities and business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with a focus on platform, infrastructure, or developer tools.
  • Strong technical background, with a solid understanding of APIs, microservices, and cloud-based architectures.
  • Proven track record of managing platform products at scale, including defining roadmaps and delivering impactful outcomes.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex challenges and drive practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in gathering and analyzing data to inform product decisions and measure success.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the cybersecurity or SaaS industry.
  • Strong understanding of scalability and reliability considerations for enterprise-grade platforms.
  • Familiarity with tools and frameworks used for monitoring, observability, and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with data pipelines, analytics platforms, or developer ecosystems.
  • Background in building or managing platform products that serve internal and external customers.

Pay Transparancy

Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is eligible for equity awards and may be eligible for incentive compensation based on factors such as experience, skills, and location.

Pay Range

$158,000$212,000 USD
