Your Role
As a NetSuite Senior functional, you will elevate our ERP solutions and drive innovation within our organization. You will design, develop, and optimize functional (& Technical) processes to support key business initiatives that leverage our NetSuite platform. We seek candidates who have a strong background in software development, particularly in NetSuite technology implementations with strong business process knowledge (Accounting, procurement etc), with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading Development Initiatives: Oversee the design and implementation of automated solutions within NetSuite, enhancing overall efficiency and performance.
- Documentation and Design: Create comprehensive design documents and execute system changes to streamline processes and improve functionality.
- Optimizing Workflows: Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvement, focusing on inventory and financial systems.
- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges, gather requirements, and ensure seamless integration of solutions.
- Driving Innovation: Stay updated on the latest trends in NetSuite to inform development strategies and enhance our NetSuite capabilities.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that application controls are effectively designed and operational to support compliance and internal controls over financial reporting.
Most of our candidates for this position will have held comparable roles in large public companies or have experience in senior consulting positions, particularly with consulting firms serving Fortune 500 clients.
Your Profile
To succeed in this role you:
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- NetSuite Expertise: At least 5 years of hands-on experience with NetSuite functional and customization, including recent implementations and upgrades.
- Software Development Skills: Knowledge of Suite Script is a plus.
- Analytical Thinking: Proven ability to analyze complex problems, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams, including finance, operations, and IT, to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Process Improvement Mindset: A track record of identifying areas for process enhancement and successfully implementing changes that drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Documentation and Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear documentation for technical processes and convey complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance Focus: Familiarity with application controls and best practices for internal controls over financial reporting, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
- Adaptability and Continuous Learning: A proactive approach to professional development, staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve skills and knowledge.
- Project Management Skills: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
Additionally, you are also knowledgeable in the following areas:
- Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment like a high-tech start-up
- Consulting firms experience serving Fortune 500 clients
- Experience in global e-commerce or related industry
