The Sauce team pools together decades of restaurant tech experience, along with seasoned tech, sales, marketing, product and operations executives who produce an industry-changing delivery system for successful local restaurants and chains.
We are looking for senior/lead level backend engineer to join our R&D team remotely.
This position will report directly to the VP of R&D. This position is also a fully remote position based in Europe.
What You'll Do:
- Work with the CTO and Tech Leaders to design and execute the rich product roadmap
- Develop new product features and support existing ones
- Mentor and support developers in implementing product requirements
- Perform code review and promote development best practices
- Take an active role in architecture and design decisions
What You Bring:
- 8+ years of hands-on C#/.NET backend development experience at product companies
- Proven experience with e-commerce or adjacent field or projects
- Start-up mindset: “can do anything” approach, one person show
- Expert in API integrations with complex software projects
- High proficiency in working with non relational database (MongoDB)
- Strong understanding of scalable architecture design, microservices, serverless, etc.
- Experience with backend monitoring and performance measurement tools
- Team player with great communication skills
- Passionate about great designs, code quality, user experience and performance
- Good writing and verbal skills in English
Would Be a Plus:
- Experience as a Tech Lead/Architect/CTO from a startup company
- Experience developing and refactoring an architecture with 100+ services
- Experience with front-end development (React/Node.js)
- Experience with CI/CD (Preference to Github/Azure)
- Experience with low code / no code development platforms
- Sees the big picture and is detail oriented
- Knows what to log and what not to log
