As a DRAM Module Quality Engineer, you will partner with other teams at the Boise and worldwide sites to qualify our new DRAM Module products.
We are looking for an effective collaborator skilled at building relationships and driving execution of activities owned by multiple partner teams, including planning, engineering and operations in the site, quality and other organizations.
The position requires an understanding of the manufacturing process for PCB/board-level products (module, SSD, etc). Qualified candidates will also have a background in product quality and qualification processes and key concepts.
Responsibilities:
- Take lead position in qualification of new Module products. Collaborate with partner teams to understand new product requirements and establish a qualification plan accordingly.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve Module product quality through “shift left” activities.
- Participate and lead in activities driven in response to quality events (e.g. Material Review Board, 8-D task force), partnering with global teams to ensure minimal impact to customers.
- Drive effective collaboration with manufacturing and other teams in support of Micron’s “Quality Big Rock” projects.
- Monitor indicators of product health (manufacturing data, test data, dedicated quality monitoring data) to identify any potential opportunities for improvement or risk aversion. Work with partner teams for full FA, understanding, etc.
- Develop reports, dashboards, alerts to improve response time to any risks apparent from analysis of all available data.
- Extract and analyze data from Micron’s various systems to assist in understanding risk, product health and quality for situations like product excursions (MRB, Material Review Board), process conversions and experiments, etc. Prepare the data for presentation.
- Coordinate product movement, sampling and disposition resulting from deviated material events impacting Module products.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in product quality and qualification
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of PCB-level manufacturing processes
