Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Mobile QA Engineer to join our Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test strategies for our iOS and Android applications. You will play a key role in ensuring our mobile products meet high-quality standards while working within an Agile environment.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in mobile automation, hands-on experience with Appium, and a passion for delivering seamless and reliable mobile experiences.

Specific Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain automation test strategies for mobile applications (iOS and Android)
  • Design and execute automated end-to-end, functional, and regression tests to ensure high-quality mobile experiences
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Development, and QA teams to understand business requirements and technical specifications
  • Continuously optimize and expand mobile test automation frameworks to increase efficiency and effectiveness
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to enable fast and reliable releases
  • Conduct performance testing for mobile applications and troubleshoot potential bottlenecks
  • Proactively identify, diagnose, and report mobile application defects, ensuring they are resolved efficiently
  • Stay up to date with the latest mobile testing tools, best practices, and emerging technologies
  • Ensure compliance with App Store (iOS) and Play Store (Android) standards for app releases

Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in QA, with a focus on mobile application testing (iOS and Android)
  • 3+ years of experience in test automation, specifically for mobile applications using Appium, Selenium, or similar tools
  • Strong knowledge of Mobile Web and Native App Testing frameworks and methodologies
  • Experience with CI/CD integration, working with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and ability to validate API responses using automation
  • Hands-on experience with Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools for mobile applications (e.g., JMeter, Firebase Performance Monitoring)
  • Experience in cross-browser and cross-device testing
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document test cases and defects clearly

Salary Range: $140,000 to $170,000

The base salary range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the national salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Care.com’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and short- and long-term incentives. In addition, Care.com provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life, and disability insurance, a generous 401K employer matching program, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
