Are you inspired by the opportunity to join a team of Insights & Planning Analysts supporting Expedia Group’s advertising department, Media Solutions, through 1st and 3rd-party data and insights? Can you translate data into actionable insights and digital campaign strategies for travel advertisers? In this role, you will:

  • Become a part of the Media Insights & Planning team (MIP) recognized by the wider Media Solution business as knowledgeable and highly proficient in the specific areas of reporting & analytics, creating data insights and media planning.  
  • Create media strategies by analysing audiences, recommending media mixes, and allocating advertising budgets. 
  • Provide top-class support to the APAC region, with a particular focus on the Japanese market, as well as to our global partners. 
  • Work seamlessly across Enterprise accounts (DMO, Air, Finance, etc) as well as Lodging partners. 
  • Craft positive relationships with the global Sales teams, influence and instil best practices into daily collaboration with sellers and their leaders at all stages of the advertising campaign. 
  • Influence and communicate effectively in partner-facing situations to deliver and position booking/search and industry/macroeconomic data and insights to support the campaign strategy for Media Solutions’ advertising partnerships. Contribute to generate new and/or grow advertising partnerships, and drive towards attaining quarterly and annual revenue targets. 
  • Collaborate (Include Consciously) with NA, LATAM and EMEA team members to support the MIP team’s pre-campaign and strategic support of Media Solutions’ global Sales team.  
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Include Consciously) with key internal stakeholders across Analytics, Yield, Operations, Strategy and Product to innovate (Choose Fearlessly & Go Get What’s Next) and automate (Force Simplicity) the MIP team’s (and the wider Sales/Sales Operations team’s) systems, tools and processes.  
  • Represent the MIP team in cross-functional collaboration across Media Solutions
  • Take the lead to understand challenges and drive solutions for partner’s business objectives and advertising strategy. 

Experience and qualifications:

  • Proficiency in both Japanese and English at business level
  • 3 - 6 years of experience in digital marketing, media planning, data analysis or other relevant disciplines; or relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent related professional experience
  • Passionate about travel
  • Experience in media planning across different channels is preferred
  • Worked effectively and thrived in a fast-paced environment requiring prioritization and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.  
  • A passion for turning data into insights and telling stories with actionable data to inspire ideas and decisions in both internal and external business contexts.  
  • A motivation for problem-solving and, through cross-functional collaboration and of course data, uncovering solutions which increase business effectiveness and efficiency and ultimately support revenue generation efforts. 
  • Enjoyed and excelled at project managing key business initiatives, including Goals, process design changes, and the development and launch of data and insights visualization tools 
  • An interest in staying abreast of the latest trends in travel, tech, business, ecommerce, marketing and leadership.
