The Senior Manager of Onboarding and Competence Development will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive onboarding programs and ongoing competence development initiatives. This role focuses on ensuring new hires are effectively integrated into the organization and that all employees have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
Job Details
Compensation: Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate’s job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location. The annual base pay range for this position is $105,000.00-$136,000.00
Additional Compensation: Employees may be eligible to receive annual incentive bonuses depending on their job classification and the policy guidelines.
Benefits: Employees are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and vision insurance, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, and telemedicine benefits. Employees are provided company-paid basic life and AD&D insurance as well as short-term and long-term disability. Employees are also able to enroll in the company’s 401k retirement savings plan.
Paid Time Off: Employees accrue 0.0654 hours of PTO per hour worked up to a maximum of 136 hours per calendar year. Employees receive 6 paid holidays throughout the calendar year and employees accrue up to a maximum of 4 paid floating holidays per calendar year.

Position Summary (What you will do)
The Senior Manager of Onboarding and Competence Development is responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving the onboarding experience and professional development to drive employee engagement, competence, and long-term success. This role ensures that new hires are seamlessly integrated into the organization and empowered with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their roles, while fostering a culture of lifelong learning and growth.

Onboarding:

Develop and execute a comprehensive onboarding strategy that aligns with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.

Develop and manage a comprehensive learning journey that ensures new hires and promoted employees are equipped with tools, resources, and support to be fully competent in their role.

Collaborate with department heads to tailor onboarding processes to specific roles and departments.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of onboarding programs and make continuous improvements utilizing metrics, feedback, and data analysis
Competence Development:

Design and implement competence development programs and learning pathways to address organizational skill gaps and meet future workforce needs.

Develop and manage a competency framework to guide employee development and performance.

Provide coaching and mentoring to employees to support their professional growth.
Training and Development:

Oversee the creation and delivery of training programs that address the organization's and its employees' needs.

Provide expertise in learning and development needs, methodologies to deliver innovative training solutions, including e-learning, workshops, and on-the-job training.

Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make continuous improvements.

Co-lead initiatives for leadership development, upskilling, reskilling, and career pathing to enhance workforce readiness.
Performance Management:

Support the development and management of the performance management cycle that drives high performance and aligns with the company’s strategic goals.

Provide guidance and support to managers in conducting performance reviews and setting development goals.
Employee Engagement:

Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that promotes employee engagement and satisfaction.

Implement initiatives to enhance employee morale, retention, and overall workplace experience.
Qualifications (What we are looking for)
Required:
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Design, related field or blend of equivalent skills and experiences;
Work Experience:
-
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful onboarding and competence development strategies.

Strong knowledge of training and development best practices and tools.
-
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
Work Experience:
-
Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role focused on onboarding and competence development.
Knowledge & Skills:
-
Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and other development technologies.

Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Design, or related experience.
Licensure, Certification, etc.:

Certification in HR or Talent Development

Scope
