💻 Role

We are looking for a technically savvy, intellectually curious, and highly motivated individual to lead our IT Operations team! You will partner closely with our Security and People organizations, as well as stakeholders across the company, to ensure we are providing all employees with an exceptional experience from onboarding to offboarding, while enabling them with the appropriate hardware and software to perform their job effectively.  

You should have strong internal customer support skills, excellent problem solving abilities, and a knack for working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. Our ideal candidate will bring hands-on technical experience with many tools listed below, as well as the curiosity and adaptability to learn new ones.

As the Senior Manager, IT Systems and Operations, you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high performing and distributed team of IT professionals 
  • Develop and promote IT standard operating procedures and runbooks, as well as key metrics and incident management 
  • Select, implement and maintain tools for IT operations efficiencies, while striving to find & solve impactful opportunities to automate company-wide 
  • Engage stakeholders throughout the company to understand the needs and priorities to securely implement and maintain corporate applications 
  • Handle hardware inventory & distribution processes, along with installation of cloud-based applications for our remote workforce, while ensuring appropriate balance of hardware & license inventories for rapid hiring with cost effective means 
  • Ensure technological compliance with evolving security standards and policies, while future-proofing integrations and automations 
  • Maintain and configure reliable operation of computer systems, office network infrastructure, and remote collaboration tools
  • Build regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures, especially with a cloud-based set of tools
  • Partner closely with senior & cross-functional leadership to build and report on team OKRs and roadmaps 
  • Flex the full suite of your IT expertise building strategy with leadership, while also digging in with the team on a detailed level 
  • Champion IT company wide by ensuring quality internal customer service for our remote-first, global company

Team members in this role are required to be within commuting distance of our Los Angeles, CA, New York, NY, or San Francisco, CA hubs.

In addition to 8+ years of experience as an IT professional and 4+ years of experience in an IT leadership role, you should have: 

  • A proven track record (4+ years) of directly managing, coaching and developing distributed teams of IT professionals, including individuals contributors of varying levels 
  • Experience building & scaling IT processes, while creatively incorporating automation and cutting edge technology to ensure they will sustain our high growth environment 
  • Robust understanding of core IT systems & operations processes including, but not limited to: hardware inventory management, internal service desks, MDM, IAM, A/V & video conferencing, and Wi-Fi & VPN enablement 
  • Experience working with remote teams and creating the best possible environments for effective, distributed collaboration via direct ownership and maintenance of company-wide applications, i.e. Google Workspace, Okta, Zoom, OnePassword, Lumos, Slack, Atlassian Jira, Notion, Glean, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of MDM best practices, including hands on experience with Apple Macbooks, Kandji, Snipe, Microsoft Windows, Intune, Azure Active Directory, and/or equivalents 
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills with all levels of the organization, from individual contributors to executives, and the ability to maintain relationships with external parties 
  • Solid understanding of security, privacy, and access management principles in order to enable compliance via tools & best practices 
  • Basic understanding of key enterprise applications is beneficial, i.e. Workday, Salesforce, and NetSuite 
  • Ability and passion to dig into the details and provide hands-on support 
  • Demonstrated success and comfort to manage and prioritize multiple projects and priorities, while maneuvering ambiguity with ease 
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication 
  • Relevant certifications a plus, i.e. Okta, Apple, Google Workspace, etc. 

💰Compensation

For Full-Time (Salary) US-based applicants: $210,000/year to $230,000/year + benefits + equity.

The salary range may be inclusive of several levels that would be applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including, level, relevant prior experience, skills and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary, not benefits (more details below) or equity.
