Toast is seeking a Sr. Manager of International Pricing Strategy to join our Pricing team. The Toast Pricing team is responsible for pricing, packaging, discount policies, and promotions across Toast’s suite of product offerings. This role will focus specifically on defining, building, and evolving our pricing strategy across Software, Hardware, and Payment Processing for our international growth markets as Toast expands outside of the United States. Reporting into the US-based Director of Pricing while working hand in hand with the London based Director of International Product Marketing, you will conduct analysis and research to make pricing strategy recommendations, design pricing experiments, and work cross-functionally to implement pricing changes. This is a high-impact role with a lot of growth potential.

As this role will be exclusively focused on International pricing strategy, we are seeking candidates based in London or Dublin, our primary hubs for International go-to-market teams.

About this roll* (Responsibilities) 

  • Conduct foundational primary and secondary research into competitive pricing and customer willingness to pay for our current and future international markets
  • Analyze historical deal pricing from Toast’s existing international markets to inform strategic improvements to our pricing, packaging, and promotional strategy
  • Design and implement the next evolution of Toast’s pricing strategy for international markets, inclusive of owning end to end pricing for new market entries across our SMB, Mid-Market/Enterprise, and e-Commerce segments and sales channels.
  • Collaborate with Toast’s International team members from Product Marketing, Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Systems Operations to define, test, and implement pricing strategies on a global stage
  • Rolling up your sleeves and getting things done, learning new skills as needed, and flexing and pivoting as needed given the early stage nature of Toast’s international bets

  • Cross-Functional Project Management: Pricing is a highly cross-functional role. You’re experienced and comfortable driving projects that engage Toasters across pricing, marketing, product management, finance, sales, and systems operations. Collaboration is your default setting.
  • Highly Analytical: You excel at analytics in both a technical and qualitative way. You are comfortable building reporting in analytics and visualization tools such as Looker, Sigma, HEX, gSheets, etc. You comfortably distill complexity to answer questions clearly.
  • Strong Communicator: You have strong written and verbal communication skills. You can build succinct, clear, and persuasive data-backed recommendations for what Toast should do next with confidence.
  • Global Mindset: You’re excited by the opportunity, and willing to put in the work, to dig deeply into the nuances and needs of each of Toast’s individual global markets.
  • Comfort with Ambiguity: You thrive in undefined environments where there is no playbook. You are comfortable building as you go, leading from the front, and taking an iterative approach to break down blockers. You find creative solutions with limited resources, navigate complexity with ease, and adapt quickly to new challenges.

  • Experience with pricing and/or managing testing roadmaps, including pricing, packaging, and launch of new products
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies (e.g., Van Westendorp, Conjoint analysis, etc.)

  • Experience working with Salesforce CPQ 
  • Experience working with B2B sales teams
