We are looking for a Senior Manager: Group Consolidation and Financial Reporting to join our Group Finance team; as we scale up and drive digital and financial inclusion across our markets.
Leading a team, you will play a pivotal role in preparing M-KOPA for its planned IPO on the London Stock Exchange by overseeing all aspects of group financial reporting, consolidation, and technical accounting. You will serve as a key advisor and executor across financial control, system implementation, and automation initiatives, driving reporting excellence across the organization.
About Us
As Senior Manager: Group Consolidation and Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and compliant consolidated financial statements, managing the group reporting calendar, coordinating with external auditors, and ensuring IFRS and GAAP standards are upheld. You will also oversee the financial operations and reporting for non-operational entities, ensuring all tax, balance sheet reconciliations, and foreign exchange exposures are effectively reviewed and managed. You’ll work closely with regional finance leads, auditors, and internal teams to deliver insights that support high-quality financial decisions.

This is an on-site role, you would be working from our offices in Johannesburg, South Africa, partnering with a diverse group of employees from our different markets and locations across the UK, Europe and Africa. You will be reporting to the Director of Financial Reporting.
Expertise
We are looking for a qualified finance professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and preferably a CPA or CA designation. You should have 10+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, including 5+ years in a leadership role. Strong technical expertise in IFRS/GAAP, financial consolidation systems, ERP platforms, and analytical reporting is required.

You should be solution-oriented, with a high level of attention to detail, and capable of communicating complex financial information in an accessible manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
