We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel Privacy, Product and AI Compliance, reporting to the General Counsel, to join our growing Legal Team! In this role, you will advise the Company on all privacy, data protection and AI matters, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company’s compliance and governance programs in those areas. You will also act as primary focal for the product department working closely on all legal apsect of our company’s product. This role involves working closely with various departments as well as advising of business and commercial compliance aspects relating to the company’s global operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and oversee the Company’s Privacy & AI Compliance & Governance Program, including the design, maintenance and monitoring of relevant policies and procedures, reporting practices and controls.
- Create and carry out privacy and AI education and training programs.
- Keep up to date on relevant laws and regulations globally, interface with external counsel and provide legal advice on privacy and AI related matters to all company units and departments.
- Communicate with regulators worldwide as required.
- Work with internal stakeholders to promote AI, data privacy and protection compliance.
- Act as primary legal focal to the Company’s Product group to promote and ensure AI, data privacy and protection compliance.
- Manage and maintain a central mapping system to track and ensure compliance for all Company data collection and processing activities.
Requirements:
- At least 8 years’ practical experience in privacy compliance function(s) is a must.
- At least 5 years in said role(s) in a global technology company.
- Strong knowledge of privacy and data protection laws and regulations.
- Practical experience in developing, implementing and overseeing Privacy compliance and governance programs.
- Excellent English (written and spoken)
- Excellent analytical, project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, a team player with ability to motivate and mobilize interdisciplinary teams towards a unified end goal.
- Experience with compliance tools and systems – an advantage.
- Business acumen and Technology oriented
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
