The Role: Senior Lead Data Engineer

The Team: We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and skilled software engineer for S&P Global Market Intelligence. This developer would help us to accelerate different initiatives within Energy Datasets.

The Impact: As a Senior Lead Data Engineer, you will be part of the development team that manages and supports the Internal applications supporting Energy Datasets.

What you'll be working on:

• Architect, design, document and lead end-to-end the data-pipeline building process
• Build a team culture that is based on trust, empathy and compassion. Inspire your team members so that they focus on continuous growth.
• Work collaboratively with all shareholders to reach a common goal.
• Mentor, coach and guide team members to navigate through technical and agile processes

 What We’re Looking For:

• BS in Computer Science or Engineering
• 8+ years of software/data engineering experience using fast-paced Agile methodologies
• Experience with Big Data platforms such as Apache Hadoop and Apache Spark with Python or Scala, Snowflake, AWS EMR
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider and in maintaining and developing software in production
• Good working knowledge of relational SQL and NoSQL databases 

​ Location: Bucharest, Romania (remote work is also possible, but you need to reside within Romania)
