ole: Senior Implementation Consultant, Global Payroll
Reports to: Implementation Team Leader
Role overview
Safeguard Global is a leading provider of fully managed Global Multi-country Payroll Services.
This position is a key role within the company which will hold responsibility for excellence in Global payroll Implementation. Excellence in customer service, whilst ensuring on time and on budget projects requires the ability to communicate at all levels and detailed planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation of Global multi country payrolls, ensuring accuracy and timely take-ons
- Managing the transition process from start to finish for clients
- Liaising with in-country partners (ICP’s) on local requirements for payroll processing.
- Managing the clients through the process, assisting with the following:
- Discovery process
- Data Gathering
- Parallel runs
- Go live
- Configuration of Global payroll system on a client by client basis.
- Develop processes and procedures for the business in accordance with customer and business requirements.
- High quality handover of a fully implemented payroll to the service centre.
- Ability to exceed or achieve growth targets
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities where agreed.
- Mentor new team members through their initial set of implementations.
- Identifying training needs of team members.
- Assist SLs with identifying training needs and arranging for required trainings for team members.
Skills:
- Global Payroll implementation and service centre experience
- Project management experience
- Technical skills
- International Payroll knowledge and skills a distinct advantage
- Language skills an added advantage
- Familiar with Change Control management
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to operate in a structured and organised way
- Experienced at managing multiple projects
- An influencer; understand the drivers for change and able to state case clearly and influence others.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels
- Aptitude for analytical thinking in creating solutions
- A proven organiser
- Tenacious; will work diligently through to completion of task, whilst remaining objective.
- An organised and methodical approach to work
- At least five years experience of payroll processing.
- Previous implementation experience is ideal.
- Ability to work effectively on a solo basis and also within a team environment.
- Strong client management/ relationship building skills.
- Proven track record of implementing complex and / or large headcount payrolls.
- Strong training and mentoring skills
Experience:
- 5 years experience in Global payroll or personnel services related environment
- Managerial experience in computer or service related industry
- Understanding and literacy of current IT and PC environments
- Exposure to and understanding of the operation of HR / Payroll systems (e,g, SAP, Peoplesoft)
- Able to demonstrate a mature understanding and flexible approach to the sales and service delivery environments of the commercial operation on the business
- Understanding of ISO / SOX compliance
