The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior PKI Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in designing, implementing, and managing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) environments, including root Certificate Authorities (CAs), intermediate CAs, and PKI policies.
The Role:
- Individual should have basic understanding of Public Key infrastructure, symmetric/asymmetric/hybrid encryption, Digital Certificates, Digital Signature, Certification Authorities, CRL, OCSP, NDES, Certificate templates.
- Working experience of Microsoft ADCS and any certificate lifecycle management tool like Venafi, AppViewX.
- Have prior L1 or L2 support experience in managing PKI consumers and hands-on experience in managing PKI systems and Venafi systems.
- Understand Certificate lifecycle management like certificate issuance, renewal, expiry and troubleshoot issues raising with certificate installation on application servers and also guide & assist in the certificate installation process.
- Troubleshoot any issues related to certificate lifecycle management tool Venafi and service now.
- Carry out below activities as part of delivery of PKI operations,
- Day to day operations such as handling of certificate management requests, monitoring and health checks
- Be able to monitor certificate expiry and follow-up on certificate renewals
- Be able to review audit requirements for PKI and identify any risk associated with PKI application and implement remediations on the system.
- Be able to create & publish certificate templates on MS ADCS
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless integration of the PKI Systems across the organisation.
- Develop and maintain user documentation and technical documentation related to crypto systems and processes.
- Experience in PKI components such as,
- ADCS PKI Clusters
- Entrust HSM
- Venafi
- Support for S/MIME
- External certificate management
- Support for code signing
- Other cryptographic products ( Entrust, Sectigo. )
- Hands-on experience with MS Windows, Linux server certificate configurations, deployments and troubleshooting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills , with ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Cyber incident response.
