What you’ll be doing:
We’re looking for a Lead Designer to bridge the gap between our brand/marketing team and the product team, ensuring that Preply’s visual identity and storytelling are seamlessly integrated into the user experience. As part of the design team, you will report to the Senior Manager of Growth Design and work exclusively on product-focused projects, helping to create a cohesive, engaging, and conversion-driven user experience.
This role is ideal for a designer who understands both brand storytelling and digital product design—someone who can take Preply’s brand identity and translate it into meaningful in-app and web experiences that drive engagement, retention, and growth.
- Elevate Brand Moments in Product – Ensure that Preply’s brand essence is present throughout our app and website, creating seamless and memorable brand moments within the user experience.
Improve In-App & Web Conversion Touchpoints – Design and optimize onboarding flows, landing pages, emails, and growth experiments to create a more engaging and brand-aligned experience.
Collaborate with Product & Marketing Teams – Act as a design bridge between the brand/marketing team and product team, ensuring that messaging, visuals, and UX are consistent across all user touchpoints.
Lead Brand-Driven UX Enhancements – Work on projects that refine visual hierarchy, micro-interactions, motion design, and empty states to reinforce Preply’s identity.
Support Growth Experiments & A/B Testing – Partner with growth designers and product managers to test new ideas that drive activation, retention, and monetization.
Conduct Visual & Consistency Audits – Identify gaps where branding and UI consistency can be improved across different parts of the platform.
What you need to succeed:
- 5+ years of experience in digital product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing UI, UX, and brand-led experiences.
- Expertise in Figma and other industry-standard design tools for high-fidelity UI work.
- Experience working in product-led growth (PLG), SaaS, or consumer-facing digital products.
- Strong understanding of brand storytelling and how it translates into digital product design.
- Ability to balance growth-focused UX improvements with maintaining brand integrity.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (marketing, brand, product, engineers).
- Familiarity with motion design, microinteractions, and UI animations (bonus).
- A data-informed approach—comfortable with A/B testing, user research insights, and conversion optimization.
