Senior Full-Stack Developer, New York (749, 750, 751)

Lab49 is looking for a Java Software Engineer to join our high-performance team in delivering software solutions for leading financial institutions. This role involves designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade solutions using Java and related technologies. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, address complex challenges, and contribute to building reliable, scalable, and maintainable software. We seek a self-starter who drives deliverables forward and takes ownership in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable software solutions using Java and associated frameworks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure high performance, security, and reliability across developed solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions.
• Integration across a complex and ever-evolving eco-system for whole solutions is key.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, algorithms, and data structures.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
• Exposure to DevOps practices and tools like CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, or Docker.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within Agile teams.
• Open mind-set around picking up new technologies and skills as the projects and product requires

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies.
• Experience or exposure to front-end development (e.g., JavaScript, Angular, React) is not a must but is considered an advantage. Candidates with the potential and interest to work on front-end development as required will be highly regarded.

The base salary range is - $170,000-$200,000

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role and level.

Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
