Main mission of the role:
- Join our Experience squad and lead the redesign of Horizons main front-end application
- Improve experience for thousands of users by building the intuitive user interfaces
- Develop flexible and reusable web components to deliver new features with high velocity
- Write unit tests for front-end components and screens
- Coach, mentor, and spread the word about our best practices inside and outside of Horizons
Your day-to-day:
- Work in a team of talented individuals and take an active part in the life of the squad
- Daily standup practice to keep everyone aligned and supported in their role
- Participate in the entire development lifecycle of our applications
- Allocate time to learning and growing your skills
Job essentials:
Experience:
- 5+ years in front-end web application development, at least 2 years in a Senior role
- Worked on customer facing features with high UX expectations for a SaaS platform
- Built a component library for a large scale web application
Tech skills:
- Solid React and Typescript experience
- Very good command of CSS
- Write unit tests for your code
- Can work with any type of APIs and collaborate with back-end Engineers to optimize data models and API performance
- Experience working with Figma and UI Designers
- Strong commitment to coding excellence, demonstrated through the ability to modularize code into well-defined components and distinct pages, ensuring ease of maintenance and code reusability
Nice to have:
- Have experience in TDD
- Used Storybook
- Exposure to back-end development
- Experience in remote work and collaboration with remote teams
Soft skills:
- You’re highly creative and demonstrate attention to details
- You’re a strong team player but can also work independently
- You take ownership in what you do and always look for improvements
- You write and speak fluent English
