The Team You Will Join
The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in the U.S. segment other expense financial reporting and analysis.
The Opportunity
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing expense analysis and reporting packages for the monthly close, Quarterly Financial Supplement, GAAP and Statutory Reporting. The role will work closely with management and partner with various teams, including FP&A and Controllers, to conduct research, compile analysis, present findings and assist with other ad hoc expense reporting activities as needed. The Senior Financial Analyst will identify, implement and stregthen internal controls in existing/new processes and continually seeking opportunties for improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to join the expense reporting and analysis team.
Success in this role requires a strategic thinker and ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a collaborative spirit.
How You'll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
- Lead expense segment reporting and analysis
- Create and present reporting packages and variance analysis
- Develop quantitative analysis and leadership skills
- Coordinate and collaborate with various finance teams at MetLife
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent communication, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Effective cross-team collaboration and relationship building skills
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookups, and sum-ifs
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to plan, prioritize and multi-task

- Preferred bachelor's degree in finance accounting or related field
- Proficient in financial systems and reporting tools
- Continuous improvement mindset with an interest in experimenting with automation tools to simplify processes to support operational improvements
