The Strategic Business Development Executive, Retention & Renewals secures and maintains new search agreements. This position is required to use a consultative sales approach to cultivate relationships with client decision-makers. In this senior-level position, you are encouraged to have a deep understanding of the industry and be able to identify and pursue opportunities for potential partnerships. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives to drive the retention and renewal of existing client accounts, ensuring a high level of satisfaction, and fostering long-term business relationships. This role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and marketing, to optimize client retention strategies and identify new business opportunities in the healthcare space.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive business development strategies focused on client retention, renewals, and expanding business opportunities within the healthcare industry.
  • Oversee the retention and renewal process for key client accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and the ongoing delivery of value.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level decision-makers in existing client organizations to support contract renewals and explore potential upsell opportunities.
  • Analyze client data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted retention strategies to reduce churn and increase contract renewals.
  • Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure seamless execution of retention campaigns and initiatives.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for retention and renewal efforts, adjusting strategies as needed to meet and exceed targets.
  • Manage the negotiation and renewal process for high-value client contracts, ensuring both customer satisfaction and the organization's profitability.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional services or solutions to existing clients based on their evolving needs.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices in client retention and renewals to ensure the organization remains competitive.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing business development team focused on retention and renewals.
  • Provide thought leadership and strategic guidance to senior leadership on retention and renewal strategies across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards, particularly related to healthcare and patient care.

Qualifications

    Education & Years of Experience

    • Associate's Degree plus 10+ years of work experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 12+ years of work experience

    Additional Experience

    • Experience in healthcare staffing or sales
    • Experience negotiating Retention and Renewal of existing contracts
    • Expanding on current contracts

      Pay Rate$148,000 - $185,000 Salary

      Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.

      This position may include additional compensation such as bonus or commission.  Please ask your recruiter for more information.
