Make Your Mark:
The Senior Director, GTM (Go-To-Market) Finance will play a critical leadership role in driving financial strategy and operational excellence across sales, marketing, and customer success organizations. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to GTM leadership, providing financial insights, analysis, and recommendations that support revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
As BlackLine continues to build Finance capabilities that accelerate growth and optimize efficiency, we are looking for a Senior Director of Finance for our GTM organization. In this role you will be the senior finance business partner to our Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and Chief Customer Officer and their GTM leadership team. The role is responsible for providing financial insights and analytics to aid decision making, partnering with the business on strategy and execution to enable and accelerate long term growth for BlackLine, while improving the profitability and efficacy of our go to market function.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, strategic and structured thinker, excellent communicator, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Senior Director of GTM Finance will contribute to the development of our GTM strategy, lead the annual budgeting processes and long-range planning , as well as reporting and data analysis efforts to provide insights to your business partners. Reporting to the VP of Finance, this role is highly visible and will regularly interact the CFO, CRO, CCO, CMO, and other executives.
What You'll Bring:

• Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Economics, Strategy or similar. Advanced degree preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years of experience in Finance or Operational roles supporting GTM organizations in high growth environment, preferably enterprise software companies.
• Analytical Skills: Deep understanding of P&L components, unit economics, and SaaS metrics. Finance minded with strong operational focus to drive process, systems, and execution in a scalable and repeatable way. Proficient at simplifying and distilling complex business information into actionable insights.
• Leadership: Proven track record of developing people, leading, and managing high-performing teams.
• Communication: Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills and proven stakeholder management and influencing skills; must build collaborative working relationships with teams across the organization.
• Systems & Tools: Proficiency in financial planning software (e.g. Adaptive Planning), CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce), Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.

We're Even More Excited If You Have:

• Systems & Tools: Familiarity visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) and data sciences (SQL, R, Python).
• Extensive experience building, developing, and leading Finance function(s) for public companies, ideally in a $500M - $1BN+ revenue company.
• Strong executive leadership skills with experience partnering at the executive management levels; you are viewed as a trusted and objective advisor.

Salary Range:
USD $231,000.00 - USD $289,000.00
Pay Transparency Statement:
Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
