FME’s ITS Enterprise organization has the charge to design, build, implement and sustain enterprise Enabling Functions (including ERP) and Supply Chain solutions based on the SAP technology platform.
The Senior Director Enterprise Master Data Management will work integrally with Enterprise Solutions ITS organization to design, build, implement and sustain systems and solutions to support the global rollout of S/4 HANA
The Senior Director will be part of the Enterprise Solutions leadership team and will be a member of the global project implementation team. The Senior Director will interface heavily with other ITS Functions (to ensure needs across functions are being met. Along with this organization, the Senior Director will also work with the Business Functions to address their requirements and provide systems & solutions.
The Senior Director will provide core Enterprise Master Data Management expertise for the development and maintenance of systems to support:
- SAP MDG
- Syniti Rapid Data Governance and Toolsets
- Data Maintenance Organizations
- Master Data Management
- Data Harmonization
- Data Quality
- AI in Data
Role Description
- Lead the S/4 Master Data Workstream for all scope
- Work with ITS peers and business counterparts to determine requirements for Global Master Data Standardization and related business rules
- Develop, test and optimize solutions for ESPHORA
- Ensure governance for data management in the functional domains
The Senior Director conducts all activities and makes decisions that are in accordance with Company policies & SOPs, and FME Values, FDA & global regulatory guidelines (including cGMP/cGLP/cGCP), environmental guidelines, as appropriate, etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for Design (Modeling), Development, Testing, Application Rationalization
- Architect qualified solution patterns for data analysis and integration
- Ensure specifications are met, e.g. data requirement, changing business requirement, application and database servers, networks, master data management processes.
- Establish governance, standards, and policies for data governance
- Coordinate prototype reviews with business
- Provide leadership in Data Modeling, ETL, Data development, MDM architect/developer

Client Management
- Understand client’s business strategy, goals, operational processes and technology needs
- Ensure customer expectations have been met through delivery and ongoing execution of services
- Gather and analyze business requests to determine how best to create successful resolution for new requests and issues
- Help consumers understand service offerings available from internal IT service providers and secure appropriate resources for projects, engaging with the business, and facilitating service delivery
- Support client, prepare business case for IT investment
- Follow governance processes that facilitate business prioritization and align with IT
- Facilitate technology initiatives which directly impact clients portfolio
- Align IT services with current and future needs of the business and its customers while improving quality of services delivered
Ongoing Systems & Service Delivery and Process Improvement
- Deploy global IT processes, develop and maintain organizational quality indicators, and monitor client satisfaction
- Provide information to IT and Business leadership regarding best practices, industry trends and business opportunities, as well as feedback on the overall performance of processes and tools
- Understand key business controls and impacts of changes caused by functionality, technology changes and changing business needs
- Provide support for global and regional systems and services
- Work with Business counterparts to ensure audit, SOX and other compliance requirements
- Steward the development and implementation of process capabilities (process, tools and roles) & metrics
- Identify and initiate process improvements (continuous improvement)
- Monitor process compliance and performance metrics

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in Technical or Business field required
- MS or MBA preferred
Experience:
- 10+ years of SAP MDG/BW experience with multiple full life cycle implementations
- Experience with SAP MDG or other Master Data Management solutions preferred
- Understanding of Finance concepts and end to end processes
- Demonstrated experience of various IT practices, including but not limited to, project management, operational service delivery, large project implementations
- Demonstrated ability to work across organizational regional and global boundaries, ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a cross-divisional and cross-functional environment
- Ability to work independently, effectively coordinating multiple priorities in a dynamic and changing environment and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, in some cases under extreme duress
- Adept at understanding customer challenges, navigating from problem to resolution and communicating process and resolution effectively both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to interact comfortably with all levels of management and staff
- Strategic Application of Information Systems and business analysis
- Experience in life sciences / pharmaceuticals industry preferred
Technical/Functional Competencies:
- Extensive experience with configuration of SAP MDG modules in several or all of the following areas:
- Data modeling
- Process chains and batch job management
- Web Reporting, Business Objects and Enterprise Portal
- HANA and Enterprise Dashboards
- Reporting Needs across all SAP Modules
- Integrations of MDG to various sources

Experience leading change by implementing enterprise-wide business planning and processing applications
- Knowledge of key integration points with SAP application areas such as SD, MM, PP, QM, SCM, CRM, SRM, and Basis, etc.
- Identify, propose, and influence technology solutions to build and maintain the optimal data and infrastructure architecture to support the reporting requirements
- Good understanding of financial and/or accounting practices required
