Job Description:
HITACHI RAIL is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Senior DevOps and Test Automation Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Pittsburgh, PA.
Mission:|
We are seeking an engaged and curious Senior-level Engineer. We need
you to help us foster happy Engineers delivering quality software at a
high rate of speed resulting in delighted customers.
Our focus areas include:
* continuous integration
* test automation
* continuous delivery
* cultural evolution to be more collaborative
* process evolution
Our stakeholders include:
* process compliance auditors
* customers
* software engineers
* test engineers
* project teams
Our technology stack is always evolving. We currently use:
* Jenkins for CI/CD
* git for revision control
* RTC and Azure DevOps for issue tracking
* Python and bash for various automation tasks
* Django for internal web application development
* Squish and Selenium for functional test automation
* Various virtualization/containerization solutions, e.g. VirtualBox, VMWare,
Docker, Podman
* The development/test/production environments we support are mostly
Linux-based, running C++ applications developed by our extended team
Required skills/experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and test automation
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in an IT related field
