About this roll*

This is a unique role at Toast, responsible for the expansion into a new vertical,  building the marketing retail funnel from the ground up. You’ll partner closely with marketing channel owners, sales, product, and operations to drive strategies from concept to execution to optimization, accelerating new business location growth.  The ideal candidate possesses an entrepreneurial mindset and is well versed in funnel management and channel strategies. You must be comfortable navigating ambiguity and engaging across all GTM functions to drive impact. 

Key responsibilities

  • Architect  multi-channel marketing strategies that are aligned to location acquisition goals, owning full funnel performance and all associated metrics from MQL to deal in partnership with marketing channel owners and sales 
  • Strong analytical chops and understand of Toast Retail’s ICP to support constant refinement and optimizations of key acquisition programs to achieve KPIs
  • Use data to tell a cohesive story about marketing’s contribution to the retail business
  • Oversee the planning and execution of retail marketing campaigns at scale across quarters
  • Develop strong relationships across marketing, sales, business development, product, and other critical internal stakeholders to align demand generation efforts with overall business goals and a seamless presales experience

  • Proactive and innovative self-starter with strategic thinking and strong problem solving capabilities
  • Excited about building programs and processes from the ground up
  • Strong storytelling skills, with ability to motivate / influence cross functional team members towards common funnel goal 
  • General knowledge of the following marketing disciplines: digital/inbound marketing and paid marketing
  • Proven ability to uncover and deeply understand the needs of customers and translate those learnings into go-to-market strategies 
  • Hunger for forecasting, data, and measurement

  • Experience launching new TAMs/verticals 
  • Previous hospitality experience in the retail or restaurant industry
