As the Senior Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring CBA continues to be a trusted leader in the Responsible use of AI. You are passionate about all things related to Data Science, Gen AI and Machine Learning tools, highly technical and enjoy being fully hands-on with coding in Python and R.
You will be driving projects and outcomes independently, being heavily focused on defining and enhancing processes associated with deploying, monitoring, testing Gen AI models in production to support ML Ops practices, and integrate AI-generated results with human-driven output. You will provide guidance and coaching to the team on applying appropriate modelling techniques.
We support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half your time each month connecting in office. We are seeking people who are:
- Passionate about building and validating market leading responsible Gen AI capabilities, practises and models(model monitoring platforms)
- Excited about tackling new challenging business problems in data science by using Generative AI tools responsibly.
- Adept with using a combination of commercial and technical data science models and software coding skills to find unique solutions that add strategic value to the business.
- Collaborative in nature to work alongside software and ML Ops and products teams to assist in deploying data science projects and solutions.
- Curious in solving data problems and courageous in positively influencing stakeholders.
- Able to think creatively and critically solve problems by applying software engineering principles to ensure the safe scaling and implementation of machine learning and Gen AI with human-driven output across the Group.
Tech skills:
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know all of them.
- Solid experience in software coding and developing packages using Python.
- Demonstrable skills in developing, monitoring and deploying Gen AI models and setting up Responsible AI frameworks.
- Expertise to define and enhance processes associated with deploying, monitoring and running models in production as part of MLOps practices.
- Core background in Software engineering with Data Science, along with exposure to deploying models using DevOps and CI/CD tools - Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Sagemaker is a big plus!
