NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Senior Coordinator, Business Operations based in our Concord, North Carolina office.

The Senior Coordinator, Business Operations is responsible for executing the day-to-day tasks for the successful operation of the NASCAR Productions business.  This includes daily management and support for assigned projects/tasks, including, but not limited to, oversight of the internal resources software systems (i.e. payroll management system, resource management system), billing and contract tracking, financial reporting and presentation development. The Senior Coordinator works with internal and external stakeholders to understand project benchmarks and tracks, monitors, and measures progress and outcomes.

Duties include but are not limited to: 

  • Oversee day-to-day operation and maintenance of the resource management system(s), includes working with stakeholders, setting timelines; assigning responsibilities; driving and monitoring progress; evaluating capabilities within the system and making recommendations as appropriate.
  • Develop, prepare, and maintain system handbooks and training materials; ensure team members (new and ongoing) are trained on system; communicate updates and changes to processes as necessary.
  • Serve as the liaison between Operations and Finance; ensure processes operate as intended and that all parties have relevant data.
  • Review, interpret and prepare financial reports, gleaning relevant information for delivery to stakeholders as appropriate and ensuring budgetary requirements are met.
  • Prepare presentations by compiling data, developing presentation formats, and creating other materials.
  • Initiate billing functions for the department including initiating invoice requests, tracking project costs, and reviewing budgets for projects.
  • Works with Legal team to prepare, issue and track contracts for projects.
  • Manage and facilitates communications with stakeholders at every level of the organization.
  • Travel: <5% including weekends

Required skills / experience:    

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university and three (3) years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient on company-provided hardware and software. Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Able to problem-solve, negotiate solutions, think strategically, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to prioritize under pressure while managing multiple tasks of varied complexity.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented. 
  • Analytical problem solvers who can work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of cost-tracking principles.
  • Knowledge of television broadcast, streaming, and long-form content production procedures is a plus.
  • Able to successfully work collaboratively with team members. 
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. 
  • Able to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
