Role overview
Reporting to the Head of U.S. Communications, this Communications Specialist is an integral role within the U.S. Communications Team supporting Galderma internal, external, and digital communications across the United States.
Essential functions
- Manage a content calendar for the U.S. Communications team for intranet, U.S. Corporate social media and internal email communications. Ensure the calendar is integrated with U.S. and global master editorial calendars.
- Work with Head of U.S. Communications and Global Communications team on original content that will be published both internally and externally.
- Act as communications interface in managing ad hoc business and functional requests.
- Track data metrics and establish KPIs across internal and external corporate channels. Adjust strategies based on findings.
- Project manage external vendors including, but not limited to, editorial agency, video/photo production agency, graphic designer, web development, event production, paid media agency.
- Manage review process for U.S. Communications deliverables, ensuring alignment with senior leadership, internal stakeholders, regulatory affairs, legal and compliance and medical affairs.
- Maintain and publish on the company’s communication external and internal channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, Unily (Intranet), Poppulo (email distribution), Galderma.com (Drupal), etc.).
- Help manage Galderma U.S. corporate website with content updates as required, liaising with Global Comms as appropriate.
- Manage U.S. intranet and support departments across the United States on content development, maintaining content and pages where appropriate.
- Lead internal communications using Poppulo on key channels and ensure the corporate brand is being used correctly.
- Work on special events including, but not limited to, townhalls, industry conferences, internal sales meetings, speaker engagements, corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Minimum experience, knowledge, skills
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher and should have a minimum of 5 years’ communications experience working within a communication and/or publishing function.
- Knowledge of working with content management systems such as Unily, Poppulo and Drupal. Experience working and managing freelancers, contractors and external agencies.
- Must have experience in editorial content development and design in order to deliver premium content in line with Galderma brand standards.
- Must have an understanding of corporate brand guidelines and have experience writing internal announcements (i.e. HR communications).
- Must have strong project management skills and the ability to manage components of large-scale projects such as quarterly town halls.
