What You'll Bring:

  • Degree educated & relevant professional training
  • Experience working in financial services, FinTech services and/or information services
  • 3-5+ years of experience in similar role(s) (agency or in-house – preferably both)
  • Exceptional communication skills, including ability to create, write, pitch and present compelling content 
  • Strong track record of executing and measuring the success of strategic communication programs leveraging a variety of digital and traditional channels
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills with the ability to influence
  • Quick assimilation of complicated and technical information
  • Well organized self-starter with the ability to multitask and working independently
  • Strong media knowledge in the Philippines; previous work experience with the media would be a plus
  • Understanding of PR metrics and experience in evaluating PR campaigns
  • Fluent English and local language (e.g. Tagalog) speaker with good writing skills in both languages

In this newly appointed role, you’ll have the ability to shape, advance and grow our external communications program and capabilities. You’ll be an integral part of our local team and get the opportunity to work with like-minded people around the world.

The Philippines External Communications Consultant is responsible for supporting the corporate positioning of the business in the Philippines, strengthening media relations, assisting in crisis and incident management, and implementing insights and issues-based campaign activities aligned with the wider in-region business strategy. These includes:

  • Assist to deliver an integrated Philippines PR strategy, with alignment to wider international and global frameworks/ processes
  • You will work closely with the External Communications Manager in APAC to deliver work originated both in-region and at an enterprise level.
  • As a member of the global Corporate Affairs & Communications team, you will collaborate closely with the Global Brand Management & Marketing teams.
  • The role involves collaborating with the wider Marketing team (Philippines, APAC, International, and Global) to effectively support and deploy demand generation and brand awareness activities and to support wider research (product and service) PR work.
  • This position maintains a close working relationship with the International Social Media team and leverages broader international writing and design capabilities.
  • The role includes working with Senior Leadership Teams and functional heads, alongside the External Communications Manager, to develop the TransUnion Philippines corporate story, sharing and learning from best practices and broader Enterprise corporate messaging.
  • You will closely with social impact functions and ensures a fully integrated approach to DE&I activity.
  • Support senior spokespeople on best practice interview technique and key messages
  • Protect the company’s reputation as a member of the crisis/incident communications team
  • Support on wider related communication matters (speeches/events etc.) and provide ad-hoc assistance to senior team and wider functions as required with External Communications Manager

The Philippines External Communications Consultant will need to be flexible in their duties, often assisting other disciplines and wider functions. This is an evolving role - as requirements in region expand it may also be required to support a wider scope of internal communications activity.​

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
