As Senior Communications Consultant, you will have multiple responsibilities. You will help advance key priorities for the head of Global Technology & Operations (GTO). As communications business partner to the EVP/head of Global Customer Service & Operations (GCSO) and the group's leadership team, you will help drive communications fostering a sense of engagement, belonging and purpose among the very people who take care of our customers every day. You will also lead our communications efforts around Triangle Tech X (TTX). TTX is one of the ways MetLife contributes to our purpose by exploring emerging career opportunities, identifying evolving skills for development and encouraging inclusivity in STEM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the VP Global Communications - GTO and the team with professional internal and external communications that will help drive business objectives and serve as lead communications business partner to the head of GCSO
- Empower the GTO leadership team to articulate the vision and strengths of GTO, while also increasing alignment and consistency of message; provide counsel to senior leaders on communication strategies and secure buy-in on approaches
- Enhance MetLife's reputation, both internally and externally, as a place for technology and operations talent to thrive
- Strengthen employee engagement with communications executed across a range of channels while continually seeking new and better ways to connect to key audiences
- Simplify complex ideas and strategies from the organization to internal/external audiences, understanding how to make them relevant and working effectively with others at all levels within the organization
- Lead all communications activities, including marketing and social media, around the annual MetLife TTX Conference; TTX Talks, a virtual video series of meaningful dialogues with influential STEM leaders; and our TTX LinkedIn site.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- Excellent writing skills and able to translate business priorities into compelling stories and messages
- Internal communication business partner experience
- Superior project management skills
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Proven relationship management skills
- Proven blended PR and social media skills
- Must have the ability to understand cultural nuances
- Bachelor's Degree
Preferred:
- 8+ years relevant business experience, including written and multimedia content
- Experience supporting a technology and operations organization with a focus on customer service
The salary range for applicants for this position is In Cary & DC - 91,400 - 121,900. In NY & NJ - 105,200 - 140k..
