The Opportunity That Awaits You:  

Are you ready to manage supplier relationships and drive purchasing strategies that support our production schedules? As a Senior Buyer Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective execution of purchasing transactions and maintaining inventory levels to meet cost, quality, and delivery requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage supplier relationships, and contribute to the growth of PROCEPT's supply chain management. What Your Day-To-Day Will Involve:

  • Serve as the primary purchasing contact, fostering positive and mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers. 
  • Proactively manage supplier relationships, issue resolution, and continuous improvement projects. 
  • Determine material requirements from engineering and production schedules, and maintain inventory at planned levels. 
  • Understand and communicate component specifications to suppliers, ensuring adherence to quality standards. 
  • Review and execute requisitions and purchase orders promptly, manage open orders, and ensure the timely receipt of goods and services. 
  • Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders to purchase goods and services at optimal prices while maintaining quality standards. 
  • Resolve issues related to goods receipts, invoice errors, PPV, or other related matters in partnership with Receiving, Accounts Payable, and others. 
  • Analyze frequent spend and develop recommendations for cost, inventory, and process improvements. 
  • Ensure compliance with the Quality System, Approved Supplier List, and relevant company policies. 

The Qualifications We Need You to Possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in purchasing/commodity management.
  • Must have experience in a regulated industry (e.g., medical device and pharmaceutical).
  • Extensive experience working with purchasing/commodity management software (preferably QAD).
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Experience negotiating terms and purchasing agreements in a fast-paced, changing environment.

The Qualifications We Would Like You to Possess :

  • Experience with medical device industry regulations and requirements.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

Location & Work Arrangement:

  • Candidates with locations close to our HQ in San Jose, CA, will follow a hybrid work model (in-office 3 days per week).
  • Candidates outside the San Francisco Bay Area will be considered for a remote role, with occasional travel to HQ as needed for training and key meetings.

The anticipated base salary for this role is $120,000 - $140,000 per year, plus annual bonus. Please note that the salary range may vary based on the candidate's location and experience. This role also requires that you are based and authorized to work in the US.

PAY RANGE TRANSPARENCY

Procept is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Procept utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

We’ll provide you training for, and ask you to maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance. We would also ask you to understand and adhere to the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality & EHS policies.
