About this opportunity – Sr Business Systems Analyst

The Sr. Business Systems Analyst (BSA) at Balt plays a critical role in helping bring the latest and best-fit technology to the business. The Sr. BSA will be the technical solutions expert in large projects, helping to advise on and implement the right technology as well as manage smaller projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Analyzes and evaluates business requirements; consults with various team members and stakeholders to identify areas where technology can be applied to effectively automate and/or improve business processes.
- Communicates technical solutions in written form (requirements documents, design documents, emails, project artifacts, etc) as well as through verbal form (meetings, presentations).
- Manages small to medium sized IT projects from inception to maintenance including developing and managing a schedule, planning and tracking budget and resources, and coordinating activities such as vendor proposals, fit-to-business, testing, training, user acceptance testing and go-live.
- Becomes the subject matter expert on both the business processes and the technology supporting it on the projects assigned. Trains business users, helps develop supporting artifacts, and assists in planning post go-live success
Qualification Requirements:
Skills:
- Strong Documentation skills- requirements/design docs/summaries
- Strong Communication skills – active listening, written and spoken, facilitation
- Strong Analytical skills – able to understand complex problems and process flows
- Strong Organizational skills – able to categorize/prioritize information coherently
- Technical Acumen – Understand IT concepts, able to learn details as needed
- Project management experience a plus
Pre-requisites / Job Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical role like a BSA, Developer, or IT Project/Product Manager
- Technical College degree or certification (Degree in CS, or technical certifications)
- Has led or played a key technical role in a large IT project, preferably using a commercial off-the-shelf enterprise system (e.g. ERP, PLM, CRM, eQMS)
- Experience working with software vendors (such as doing RFP’s, managing consultant work)
- Experience working in the medical device or regulated field a plus
Physical Requirements:
Extended periods of sitting or speaking.
Light lifting.
30% domestic and international travel to company sites
Heavy computer use.
Must adhere to the company’s safety practices by performing work safely and in accordance with established standards.
Work Environment:
Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
